I've Tried To Be Patient, Part II

As I noted in my post of August 4 of this year, the nation is fed up with Republican obstructionism. The latest partisan, political crap is playing chicken with the country's economy by stonewalling renewed funding of unemployment payments and extending the payroll tax cut. A majority of economists have said that the payroll tax cut helps the U.S. economy. But the Congress (specifically the House) must think it's more important to get elected than bring this country out of the recession/depression. They'd rather give tax cuts to the top 4% than the other 96%. Even though a majority of the nation's wealthiest, by a wide margin, are in favor of being taxed more. What it amounts to is: taxation without representation. Sound familiar? Yeah, we didn't care for that 230 or so years ago, either.
